Creativity Takes Courge - Henri Matisse

About
me
Originally from Bristol, I studied an Art & Design Diploma developing my interest for the creative industry before progressing to study at Manchester Metropolitan University, gaining an Bsc Hons in Product Design.
I have a keen interest in the creative arts, taking up photography and model creation as hobbies, to name a few. And I am actively look to improve my skills through all creative mediums from the use of digital programs such as SolidWorks and photoshop, to physical techniques such as masonry, photography and fine art.
A few Key projects

lighting Series
A set of three lighting solutions for different areas of the home.
Yotel Furniture assignment
University module for furniture design for compact hotel room by Yotel.
reimagining the psP
Task to develop the next iteration of an existing games console.

Lighting Series
During my studies I was tasked with creating a lighting fixture that would be suitable for home living.
Instead I decided to create a series.
Utilising a range of different sizes to portray the difference in attributes based on the placement of the design while staying true to the original design style.

Yotel Furniture Assignmnet

Our main group project during my university experience was a live project involved with Yotel, to design a set of furniture for a fixed size hotel room using the ‘Yotel’ brand as a prospective client.
Amongst my group I was chosen to design a storage unit which would contain a section suitable for a TV.

Using their design style, containing very minimalist tones, a prominently purple, natural wood and reflective plastic white colour colour pallet, and any lighting to be ambient. I designed this storage unit.
Creating each individual component on SolidWorks while collaborating with my team to confirm dimensions and that our collective components would be functional as well as consistent we designed a prospective room to visualise the final product.

Reimagining the PSP

During University I was tasked to redesign a discontinued games Console as if it were to be created for the next generation.
Drawing up variations of a new model I chose this, based on the sleek design style as well as the versatility within the design.
Creating a physical prototype at a 1 to 1 scale to confirm anthropometric and ergonomic data was used accurately.
And designing this in SolidWorks for a rendered view.
